They will spread the word to raise public consciousness about the immanent dangers of climate change and we'll pay for the honor and privilege of it. The danger of climate change and we're at the tipping point of doom only 10 or 20 years away since 1988 and this weird little doomsday cult will pocket our tax dollars to tell you all about it. Yeah, okay. 

What does "climate resilience" actually mean especially if we're all doomed anyway? Like all leftist terms, it doesn't really have a meaning, only some emotional connotation of good feels or bad feels. But if it rakes in those sweet bucks, then hell yeah! The best good feels money can buy!

So it can be nothing but the spectral threat of climate change/global warming or whatever the marketing department thinks will sell today. There can be no other explanation.

Nobody will ever consider ground subsidence in the area around Meadow Lake as one reason for flooding.

The bumps in the pathways are the remains of the monorail stanchion foundations that were cut about a foot or so below ground level after the 1964-65 World's Fair. Prior to the recent repaving and further grinding down of the monorail footings which took place after the Aquacade was demolished in 1996, those bumps were much higher. Sorry, can't find my old photos of this.

So the ground has subsided quite a bit since the Fair which is not surprising as the area was a marshland. A high water table tends to turn soil into mud which can be washed away. Have our eco-heroes of the Waterfront Alliance considered this? Have any of these parasitical NGO assholes ever actually visited the park and saw the area in question themselves let alone be able to find it without directions from google maps? Nope, it would ruin their business and probably a majority of them are out-of-towners who never even heard of the park until it became profitable for them.

Or how about dredging the Flushing River and lake to clear out sediment buildup, which raises the water level. Sediments from the tides from Long Island Sound as two other now underground streams- Ireland Mill Creek which flows down from Kissena Lake alongside Booth Memorial Avenue, emptying at the Pool of Industry and Horse Brook which flows from Kneeland Avenue in Elmhurst and empties into Flushing River near where Willow Lake is today. Again, that's a big NO. Who ever heard of such rubbish as tributary streams carrying sediments. It's all about global warming 'cause that's where the money is. 

The creek and the lake haven't been dredged in decades, for what it's worth.

And did anyone do any maintenance on the tide gate below the Bridge of Flags on Meridian Road from the entrance of the Flushing River into the park? Did our esteemed experts on distant future weather ever think that high tides may lead to a high water table? Oh really! The Experts have read the auspices of their computer models which show that the area will be underwater in about 20 years. The Science! has spoken and those who lack the proper credentials of priestly office may not interject their feeble opinions to their betters. Science! is to be obeyed and followed without question. Pay no attention to the utterly useless non-profit mutants who are lining their pockets with public money behind the curtain.

No need to trifle with such nonsense as ground subsidence and silt build-up because nobody makes money in the long term that way. I mean if you send in a contractor to do the dredging and/or raise the ground level around the lake and sure they make some money, but it's only a one time deal payday and then nothing more. Global warming is the gift that keeps on giving for many years to come (at least for non-profits) if you don't do anything but tell people that global warming is worse than we thought and send them more money.

The People's Banana Empire's New 5 Year Plan which will take 20 years for Traffic Reduction Through Eliminating Roadway Lanes

Our glorious People's Rulers have devised a magnificent new plan to rebuild the aging Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in such a way as to reduce traffic by removing a lane of traffic. Now to the uninspired simpleton, not intellectually and politically advanced enough to comprehend this plan would make the atrociously insipid argument that removing a lane of traffic would increase and greatly slow traffic on the remaining two lanes. Absolutely not! For as our cosmically intelligent liberal betters have long since known that as building an extra lane on highways causes more cars to spontaneously appear through mechanical abiogenesis, then the contrary must be true that eliminating a lane from the highway will cause cars and trucks to be spontaneously annihilated.

A BQE Panel formed by Our Most Wise and Benevolent Ruler, Mayor de Blasio under the astute leadership of Carlo Scissura has definitively stated that this shall be a monumental improvement in traffic flow as it will allow broken down vehicles or ones involved in a traffic accident a shoulder upon which to await response of the appropriate officials. The return of both way tolls with high speed E-ZPass on the Verrazzano Bridge instead of one double toll with high speed E-ZPass would reduce traffic by some technical means that are so advanced that only Mr. Scissura and his high priests in the construction industry could fathom it. Thus, is the definitive ex-cathedra pronouncement on the matter. All other ideas submitted by the lower orders of the community were summarily disposed of in the circular file amidst some Jovian mirth.

Our masters should be given praise for being gracious enough to at least pretend that they cared what the filthy peasant masses thought and allowed the simpering fools to place their hopelessly simplistic ideas at the feet of their betters. The Official Plan is absolutely the best and shall work flawlessly because our betters have decreed it.

It should not cause any suspicion of a vested interest whatsoever that Mr. Scissura is the president and CEO of the New York Building Congress, an advocacy and lobbying group for the construction industry. That this fellow would be taking a 1.5 mile repair project and ridiculously expanding it to a unnecessary gargantuan project only so he and his buddies in the industry can reap an obscene fortune through crony-capitalism. There should be no censorious conspiracy theories that this is just a crony capitalist and politically powerful construction union feeding frenzy of public monies. The aging 1.5 mile section of the BQE is really in need of repair and it is absolutely necessary to re-construct the entire BQE to make it a 2 lane highway because.... you know.... reasons and stuff, save the planet from global weather change, prevent the return of Noah's flood (as Gaia is wroth at us), the sustainable eco-friendly thingie and more. Why, the whole blasted thing absolutely must be "re-thought", "re-imagined", and "re-worked" not to make consultant fees and allow for politically connected groups to perform endless publicly financed environmental impact, feasibility and planning studies. Not to allow more activist and lobbyist snouts in the public trough to feed for the decades it would take to complete this behemoth masterpiece, if it is ever really and finally completed, that is. But this is because they can and because our betters said it is necessary and this is all we ignorant, unwashed peasants need to know. To say anything else would be as rude and uncouth as casting aspersions of corruption upon this paragon of wisdom and virtue, our dear leader, Mayor de Blasio and our world-famous super-competent, honest and corruption-free city government.(please clap)

Will New York's Off-Shore Windmill Program Break Records or Just Break Wind?

If a group of people lack the ability to engage in abstract thought, the intellectual acumen for new and innovative ideas and the individualistic creativity to pioneer new technologies or are just corrupt grifters all that's left to them is to take already invented older, obsolete technologies and claim them to be exciting new inventions. Either that, or in their re-invention of the wheel, they breathlessly announce that they have succeeded in making it rounder than it was before. Such people not of the grifter mold typically end up as bureaucrats, politicians or professional activists as they're not intelligent or talented enough or simply too much a borderline personality for any meaningful, productive form of employment.

But as always, the reality of these fabulous new/antiquated miracle technologies almost never lives up to the hype which is the grifter's stock and trade and leaves the other idiots to make feeble excuses for their failures while still pretending their perpetual motion machines can really work. But the grifter, crony capitalists and activist/NGO honchos profits, the rank and file SJW activist gets his good feels, the bureaucrats and politicians declare success and move on to another great idea. So as far as the ruling class and elite are concerned, it's a win-win even if we the proles get stuck paying for their fiasco and see our quality of life further decline. But as our rulers hate us, we count for nothing so they really don't care what happens to us except that we pay their taxes and obey their speech and thought codes.

So we come to this opinion piece from the Gotham Gazette by Liz Burdock and Jay Borkland entitled: "As New York's Ambitious Energy Plan Breaks Offshore Wind Records, Report Identifies Challenges and Opportunities" published August 7, 2019

That windmills as a power source for machinery was long ago replaced as inefficient due to the losses involved in converting wind energy into usable work energy makes no impact on our mastermind planners. The salesmen of General Electric and Siemens thinks wind turbines (which they happen to manufacture, by the way) are the thing, everyone should buy them (with generous government subsidies, thank you very much) and our politicians, after accepting some nice campaign donations and other under the table goodies heartily agree (please clap). They work as long as the wind is blowing within an operational range or the temperature isn't too low otherwise they're just useless, gargantuan monuments to liberal imbecility and ruling class perfidy.

Just as the solar panel, the first commercially available version of which was patented in 1885 has not and may never will exceed 10% or 20% efficiency directly converting sunlight to usable electricity. There are physical limits to the photoelectric effect. That and solar panels appear to have trouble providing electricity at night (or overcast days) for reasons enviro-liberals and greenies have yet to explain. Don't panic, more government research grants are on the way.

But just say the word "free" like "free energy" or other free stuff and lefties and liberals go into a swoon then storm the manufacturers, eager to buy with other people's money.

The main problem with these "renewable" energy sources besides being expensive, not cost effective, lagging behind in energy density compared to fossil fuel driven source and needing government subsidies to be economically viable is that their power output cannot follow the load. That is, the generated power from wind turbines and solar panels when at maximum output cannot be increased to keep pace with consumer demand. And it must be noted that their maximum output can vary even being somewhat lower than average. So unless there is some other steam driven generator as a backup or some other place to buy electricity from in a pinch (which drives spot power prices through the roof), there could be more than a few blackouts. The to add more fuel to the fire- If we replace all internal combustion engine cars to electric vehicles, even if a small percentage, there are no magical electricity elves to upgrade the grid or provide more power for all the extra appliances loading the grid.

However, if one were to pose this question to the compos mentis of the green left, they would be certain that the laws of physics were struck down by the Supreme Court as unconstitutional and racist. Greenie watermelons appear to believe perpetual motion machines are entirely possible if scientists and engineer were given enough grant money. Moar money always fixes everything in progressive liberal land, ya know.

But hold on now! Batteries! That's the ticket! So there's this physicist guy, Mark P. Mills who did the math for how long it would take Elon Musks' Gigafactory to build the batteries that would store energy to power the entire U.S. for 2 days and that would be, according to him, about a thousand years. So maybe not batteries then.

Ok, wait, there's other schemes like pumped storage although how much water and tanks to hold it that would take and how much energy would be lost in the process of conversion doesn't make it look any better. So if anyone realistically wants to believe we can completely do away with all hydrocarbon and nuclear power without returning to a 18th century lifestyle, then pull up a chair and make yourself comfortable as we're in for a very long wait.

But all will not be lost. The elite city of  Manhattan, the grand luxury product city of Bloomberg's wet dreams (and parts of that chic designer label called by mortals Brooklyn) will have sufficient power as our ruling godlings and elites, unlike the masses of unwashed plebes and slaves in the lower order outer boroughs, are too "woke" and too important to do without.

However, back to the real world with its real presently technology and real physical laws.

It's a fool's errand to bet on some future technology that will solve all the present shortcomings of so-called renewable energy sources based on a presently unknown paradigm and that is impossible to know if it will ever be invented or not. Just as it is simple minded and naive to accept the doomsday scenarios being spun not by scientists, but activists, NGOs, politicians, bureaucrats and corporations who stand to make a lot of money from it.  And idiotic beyond description to believe the liars, hypocrites, and grifters with their perpetual motion machine solution in search of a problem to solve.

How can anyone take seriously the calls by UN bureaucrats and their pet government scientists that we the unwashed masses must accept the denigration of our standard of living, having scarcity foisted on us by a hoard of people who jet off in an armada of airliners to different exotic locales for COP meetings every year. People who demand we give up eating meat and becoming vegans or eating bugs to ostensibly save the planet but never miss a good cheeseburger themselves, even at fast food places they malign like Burger King. Or famous politicians and activists who never miss an opportunity to read us the riot act about our massive "carbon footprint", profligate energy consumption or rising sea levels but who buy very expensive and high energy consumption ocean front homes. Hypocrisy never wore such an insufferably smug and ingratiating mantle.

No, Liz and Jay, aside from the record amount of tax dollars that will be wasted in a fraudulent scheme, no new ground nor records will be broken here but only the wind broken from your unctuous and insipid work of propaganda.

Strange Bedfellows

It's too often said the politics makes for strange bedfellows but what is left out is the question of who is on the top which is really the most important factor(s).

It's a seemingly strange thing how such groups as corporations, big government politicians and apparatchiks, NGOs and sundry activists can appear to advocate for their own unique and different interests, sometimes opposing each other and yet at the same time, mostly will cooperate with each other. It's a phenomena that causes some to focus on only the differences and to then resort to the most crude, reductionist caricatures to make their cherry-picked facts fit their single magic bullet theory such as big anything bad and it's all about money. To some extent these can be factors but when dealing with large groups, reasons can be more varied and nuanced between the groups and even individuals within groups. Deconstruction can be a useful tool for understanding complex systems but the difficult part is to reduce motivations and reasons to their most basic components and understanding how they interact with each other without becoming too reductionist. Many people seem most comfortable with simple, single bullet explanations and are too intellectually lazy to look deeper.

The best explanation for mutual cooperation between largely unrelated groups is the Pareto Optimum from game theory. It can be thought of as a group of cars driving together on a highway where each driver has their own reason for driving and their own destination but it is in the best interests of most drivers to cooperate by following the rules of the road in order to arrive at their destination. There will be some drivers who will speed faster than the others, cut each other off, or get into an accident with another car but for the most part, the majority can be sure of reaching their destination. If too many drivers refuse to follow the rules, the result is known to be a large multi-car accident that blocks the highway and nobody will be able to get where they're going.

We human beings, imperfect as we may be, are moral actors capable of acting in our own best self interests whether rational or not and for either material or transcendent goals. So to some extent, cooperating with others with whom ones disagrees or even hates, at least for the present, if it advances their own goals and is therefore in their best interests. We may not always be rational but on average, we're not completely stupid.

So it would not be unexpected to see chemical companies support nominally luddite and anti-capitalist environmentalists in combating the so-called "ozone hole" as they would profit by patenting new refrigerants that don't last as long as the old freon, whose patent had expired, and need to be replaced more often. It wouldn't be difficult to understand why large corporations would support the ever growing list of EPA regulations and more stringent requirements to count a few hundred molecules per cubic centimeter of air as navigating all the regulations and compliance costs prevent upstart competitors from entering the business field. And to make large donations to politicians of both parties to buy the favor of allowing corporate lobbyists write legislation to their own benefit.

It must be remembered that corporations, no matter how large, may have influence but lacking an army or the law enforcement power to compel a citizen to obey the corporation's diktats, the corporation can not have real power. That is strictly reserved for government which commands a military, courts and law enforcement. Power to take a citizen's freedom, possessions or even his life for breaking the laws set forth by government. As Chairman Mao rightly said "power flows from the barrel of a gun" so the man with the gun, who can kill the man with the gold and simply take it all for himself unless the man with the gold offers to share it, is invariably in charge of the situation. Those who wield power will also jealously guard that power and not let it slip into the hands of those who are subordinate to their power.

Therefore the relationship between managerial corporations and the managerial state is more one of the vassal to his liege lord. The vassal pays tribute and swears obedience to his liege and in return the vassal is permitted, within limits, a free hand within his fiefdom. So with these bedfellows, it is clear who is on top.

In return for their fealty, the large corporations seem fine with being used by their managerial government overlords as the sockpuppet villains, used to deplatform and censor dissidents to the government's globalist schemes and to take the flak from the dupes of both the left and the right for it. The protection from competition, the  privileges and profits they receive, the too big to fail bailouts for playing along make it well worth it.  And as the system of government becomes more authoritarian verging into totalitarianism, corporate expressions of support for government policies will become more ostentatious and unctuous.

This is in contrast to the idea that corporations and billionaires are in fact the puppet masters of the government which is a favorite trope among libertarians and libertarian apostates who refer to themselves as the alt-right or dissident right. Libertarians, their apostates and heretics are unable to get past the notion that 'money makes the world go 'round' as they believe that all the fabulous wealth and bling simply bedazzles the people of the government power structure and magically compels obedience. What they observe as rich people, the elite, exercising privileges not enjoyed by the plebeian masses are privileges the elite have paid to have, not given from a fawning ruling class who stand in open mouthed awe of their wealth.

This misunderstanding is due to first, they ignore or are blithely unaware of the fact that most power in government resides in the unelected bureaucracy as it is these managers who create laws and regulations and who actually operate government on a day-to-day basis. Tenured bureaucrats can find any number of ways to disobey the directives of the elected executive or legislative oversight with little fear of being fired. Corporate donations mean nothing to a bureaucrat who does not need it to keep his job.

Secondly, it is an obstinate refusal or failure to recognize the difference between models of power and models of influence. One can always refuse the requests or proposals of another who can only wield influence with money, goods or services as the lure. However, one cannot refuse the command of another who wields the power to forcibly take one's property, freedom or life by any means legal or illegal. Just as it is a failure of libertarians to understand the hierarchy of which the climate and environment of the country shapes the people which forms their culture. Then downstream of culture is formed their government and political system which in turn forms their economic system. The private business components formed within the economic system are therefore is no more capable of changing the the political system than it is in changing the physical nature or culture of the people who created it. The cart can never drive the horse.

However, to return to the topic at hand, it's to be expected that all large corporations would enthusiastically support the latest catastrophe du jour, global warming/climate change. It would not only usher in more new competition killing EPA regulations that might even knock off existent competitor corporations in the bargain. As well it would offer more crony capitalist grifter and middleman businesses opportunities to sell, by government mandate, more unneeded goods and services that are alleged to save the world from the weather. This also explains the recent "woke" capital mania as the vassal tries to emulate his lord's whims in social engineering and social justice to curry favor with his liege. It should also be added that ever image conscious corporations whose upper management tend to be as socially and culturally isolated from the average American as the political establishment. So the corporate heads might come to believe that progressivism is as popular with the majority of Americans as the mainstream media tells them. After all, the people voted Barack Obama president twice, didn't they? Going SJW "woke" would make for a kinder, gentler, corporate image and make the American people like them, wouldn't it?

However, following the progressive path of "woke" capital means not only talking the talk but walking the walk. So as corporations are obliged to create progressive positions within their company like expanded definition human resources, diversity coordinators, sensitivity trainers, etc., positions that cost the business money without adding any value to goods and services or improved productivity. To this end, they hire progressive leftist social justice warriors to occupy these positions as only such people would be interested in these tasks. What the corporate heads either failed to understand or whose new age CEO's would think is cool is that the SJW's they hired would in turn hire many more SJW's until the business that the corporation is engaged in would turn away from that business' function of providing goods and services people want or need and concentrate on social justice issues. The result is eventually a business that loses money. Marvel Comics, the latest Star Trek series and the Star Wars franchise are examples of this. The only businesses that can survive this SJW convergence are crony capitalist ventures with guaranteed government support, a multi-billionaire patron willing to throw good money after bad, the stock market with quantitative easing or as previously mentioned those which are deemed by government as "too big to fail". In effect, practically any large corporation, bank or brokerage.

It may be good to be the king but it certainly pays well to be the king's loyal lap dog.

New York City Fights Opioid Addiction Crisis By Giving Addicts Greater Access to Drugs

Of course the tone of the article is one of triumphalism and praise for our Glorious Leaders who in their olympian compassion and generosity have decreed that in order to fight opioid addiction, addicts will get access to even more drugs, safely under medical supervision, legally and most important of all, free. That is free for the recipients with the costs borne by the taxpayers, many of whom have trouble making ends meet in one of the highest cost of living cities in the U.S.. Progressive liberals are always great, big warm hearted altruists with other people's money and citizen, permanent resident or illegal alien makes no difference here. Don't fret about the morality of forced altruism in the name of a dubious cause. It's only money, folks.

However, there is in this permissive, even backhanded encouragement of narcotics use a peculiar contradiction from the progressive liberal's otherwise puritanically forbidding views on sugary drinks, fast foods, tobacco use and eating meat but when it comes to drug use, the scales fall from liberal eyes. Whereas liberals screech in outrage at the thought of the medical expenses of cigarette smokers which is only an increased statistical probability, the liberal spares no expense, paid for by others, for the certain expenses incurred by heroin users. Just as liberals can see some kind of difference between the inhaling of the smoke of burning tobacco as dangerous to one's health, wrong and evil but inhaling the smoke of burning marijuana has no ill effects on one's health, is benevolent, good and heartily encouraged. For progressive left, even comestibles may fall under the evil devil category or may be the nectar and ambrosia of their angels so in their twisted progressive world, this isn't a contradiction at all.

But assuaging the liberal's desperate need to be seen as the most wonderfully beneficent beings in the universe isn't all that's going on here. Sure, feeding the rank-and-file liberal's galactic scale egos is important but more important is the feeding of cash to crony capitalists and other politically connected middleman businesses. Pharmaceutical companies can look forward to increased sales of methadone and buprenorphine. Privately operated clinics, with friends in high places, employing doctors, nurses and other staff have a publicly funded jobs program and politically connected *insert name here* associates firms can get into the trough with ever more "studies" that must be conducted. All in the glorious name of "medically assisted treatment" of drug addiction by addicting narcotics users to other different drugs rather than helping them quit drug use altogether. A program name that will eventually be encouraged by our managerial betters to be adopted by undocumented pharmacists (street drug dealers and pushers) to legalize street narcotics sale as opioid treatment. Hair of the dog...

Let's not forget drug addicts, who can be seeded throughout the city in half-way houses, homeless shelters or whatever else, are voters too even if they are illegal aliens. Voters who will be most motivated and enthusiastic to vote for the benevolent little fathers and mothers of the Party of Infinite Goodness and Kindness known to lesser mortals as the Democrat party who shall in return ensure every drug addict gets his fix for free.

And here in the People's Banana Empire of New York, it is a magnificent victory over the opioid crisis, a triumph of utterly brilliant socialist central planning and social engineering. Forward comrades!

When real problems are beyond the capabilities of the city's managerial establishment to solve, rather than appear incompetent, the real problems are ignored and the establishment goes hard on "solving" exaggerated or non-existent problems. In a system where individualism and free enterprise are utterly crushed beneath the ever growing mass of the managerial/custodial state, the concepts of an economy and wealth are mutated to mean nothing more than money changing hands between government mandated middlemen receiving either tax dollars or money extracted from their plebeian marks for goods and services nobody wants or needs. All this NYC Green New Deal is going to accomplish is to raise further the cost of living in a city that already has one of the highest cost of livings in the country and bind the serfs to the land. Most importantly and not to be forgotten: to re-distribute wealth from the plebs to the corporations that manufacture windmills, solar panels and the other accoutrements green sustainable living.

We're being lied to for the reasons given above by Dalrymple and Mencken.
De blasio will continue to enjoy his retinue of SUVs to take him around town in style, eat as much tasty food as he pleases (smoking pot gives you the munchies big time) and have as much electrical power to consume as he pleases- as will other high ranking members of the city's ruling class. The peasantry will live in the dark, packed like sardines in Grenfell Tower-like "green", "sustainable" buildings (heated only when they catch fire) and bound to their barracks, able travel no further than they can walk. Peasant serfs will be forbidden to eat meat because...reasons which are none of their concern. But Sandy Ocasio-Cortez and other of our betters shall chomp down on as many hamburgers as they please. Rank doth have its privileges and our betters must be visibly better in comparison to their proles who must know their lowly place. Spare the rod and spoil the peasant. Fear and humiliation in the presence of the ruling class godlings makes for good serfs.

Worst of all, this is all unnecessary. There is no credible evidence that human activity is adversely effecting Earth's climate or that future changes will be catastrophic (see in addition below). Therefore this Green New Deal is a costly solution in search of a problem. Read on for more details.

The non-problem problem:
The non-problems can be seemingly solved by a veritable dog's breakfast of new laws, speeches and government programs which includes tax money spent on bureaucracies and politically favored private sector troughers and/or government mandated goods and services the public is forced to buy by law.  As the non-problem never existed in the first place, the threat posed never materializes and the politicians and bureaucrats can then take credit for saving us all from certain disaster. But sometimes a scam is just too good, is too much of a money maker for crony capitalists and endless virtue signaling speeches from politicians that the non-problem cannot be solved yet. More money must be spent, more laws must be passed and we the people must pay more under the managerial battle cry of "it's worse than we thought, give us more power and send more money !".

So once again, with global cooling, warming, change, or whatever, we are treated to yet another round of "it's worse than we thought! we're all gonna die! send more money!" apocalypse porn. When nothing bad happens that the even plebs can see for themselves, the managerial shamans will claim credit for saving us all by waving his magick stick at the invisible sky dragon. Then magically, we'll be given another 10 or 20 years to live until the next millenarian scare.

In addition:
Note that it isn't even officially called global warming anymore, it's called climate change and all of the apocalyptic scenarios exist only in computer models using unconfirmed assumptions. Note also that we are currently in the interglacial and interstadial (warmer period) of an ice age that began about 2.6 million years ago. Yes, you've read that right- we are currently in an ice age and the paleoclimate record shows that although ice ages may last for millions of years, they are just blips in history where greenhouse (or hothouse) Earth periods are much longer and more the norm. Something our own political/bureaucratic overlords and the U.N. globalist apparatchiks will never tell you.

The hysterical and de rigueur  IPCC claims of runaway greenhouse effect, turning Earth into the planet Venus are patent nonsense unsupported by any laboratory experiments or empirical observations that confirm the hypothesis they are based upon. Climatologists have not even been able to identify the climate sensitivity of CO2 constant after decades of searching and can find no observable correlation between CO2 and measured temperature increase or decrease. Not to mention all the other greenhouse gas theory predictions have failed. And no, the rate of sea level rise has not increased either. Government scientists (assuming they are not activists) will find whatever results their managerial overlords will want them to find if they like their jobs or to continue getting grants, facts be damned. Activist scientists will lie to promote "the cause" and government scientists as bureaucrats will act in accordance with my 8 laws of bureaucracy. They're still bureaucrats after all and it's better to be a member of the managerial elite than a grubby prole. Rank doth have its privileges.

Finally:
Yes the Earth's climate changes. It has been changing since the Earth was formed over four billion years ago and there is no compelling evidence to suggest that human activity will have any more than a marginal effect, if any measurable effect at all, on the climate. The Green New Deal is based on lies and is simply an attempt to advance a political and social agenda that benefits the ruling class and the elite.

To the progressive emoters who would ask the skeptics why they do not believe in the science of anthropogenic climate change and denounce them as a science deniers:
Science is not something to "believe" in, it presents facts and data. Science is precise and accurate measurements of the world around us, "adjusted" data is only an estimate that carries a margin of error, it's not real measurement data. No data, no science. The gold standard of science is repeatable experiment and empirically verified theoretical predictions, not a paper published in a peer reviewed periodical or an unverified computer model. Scientific theories are never "settled science" but are always open to challenge and can be subject to falsification. Otherwise, to be called upon to "believe in settled science" or be labeled as a "science denier" is not accepting a scientific fact but to join a religion and denounce non-believers as heretics.
