Fear Response

On the internet, there is no end to conspiracy theories on any topic imaginable and there is no serious or concerted attempt made to censor them. There are debates that can get rancorous and occasionally someone like Alex Jones will go too far in over sensationalizing a conspiracy theory such that it may become slanderous or actionable in civil court. But otherwise outlandish or even absurd conspiracy theorists go about their business unimpeded. Nobody cares about them aside from true believers and spergy skeptics. In this one can easily discern the conspiracy theories that have no basis in reality versus the ones that make the ruling class nervous and rail against them.

On a quick side note, I'm distinguishing here between conspiracy theories and attempts to de-platform and silence or censor those who espouse any politically critical viewpoint to even a hair to the right of Trotsky which annoys or contradicts the diktats of the Ruling Class. Of concern here is the latter.

So when governments and social media platforms actively and openly censor what they are pleased to call "conspiracy theories", it must be asked why and what are they afraid of if that which is being censored are lies or nonsense. Just as why are they so terrified of the general public seeing or reading "harmful information" that justifies draconian censoring. Does harmful information make PC's, laptops or smartphones explode in the users face or cause other physical or psychological injuries? Are our betters desperate to protect us from reading the 21st century high-tech King in Yellow which would make us all hopelessly mad? 

Then this is the case of virologists, epidemiologists, doctors and nurses who questioned the mandatory COVID-19 national lockdowns along with the mandatory wearing of facemasks, latex gloves and standing 6 feet/2 meters apart social distancing restrictions. Even quoting the CDC can get one censored for misinformation to the point where the CDC is refusing to release certain information as they make the asinine claim that information can be somehow "misused".

There are three levels of this censorship and silencing- 

There are the rank and file progressive liberals, woke and social justice warriors whose puritan sensitivity to questioning the religious doctrines of their cargo cult threatens their faith and presumably hurts their chances of getting into progressive heaven, whatever that is. So much so that they view it as tantamount to physical violence that must be met with at least casting the blasphemer into the void if not physically attacking the satanic miscreant. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. Remember this, friends who live in red states or red areas, no matter how safe you think you are or how often you retreat to a new Galt's Gulch, the left is still coming for you too. And they will never stop coming for you no matter where you run to.

Then there is the managerial government's need to control all things including the thoughts and actions of their serfs. That the proles and serfs realize that they're being lied to while being forced to say the lie is true is all part of breaking them by humiliating them. In Germany, one can be arrested for questioning the official government dogma of climate change (whatever that happens to mean this week). Arrest and a show trial or a government official Karen to publicly shame dissidents are useful tools to frighten the masses into obedience. In this, the Ruling Class, the managerial bureaucrats and politicians, their non-profit foundation and think-tank advisors have no ideological bent or dogma. This is purely the mechanics of power where ideology is nothing more than a blueprint or schematic and is chosen as strictly functional.

So last but not least in censorship and silencing, in fact the most egregious of all, we have the corporate vassals. Many give a pass to the government on this and focus all their ire on the big, bad, corporations but they may realize that in this censorship, they lose customers/clients and in doing so, lose money but they have a way out of get woke, go broke. This is to any sensible person as counterproductive to any business as it would be to boo the bad guy puppets at a puppet show but it doesn't matter in the economy of the new world order. It serves the government well as a diversion away from the fact that they are in fact pulling the strings. Then it also gives the government the plausible deniability of "it's a private business, they can do what they want and we can't tell them what to do" the government quietly does end runs around the constitution. Unless of course, the issue is a bakery refusing to bake a cake for a same sex wedding and "muh private business" goes right out the window because...reasons.

But don't worry. The cooperative folks at Big Tech, other big corps and banks get their nice government contracts or bailouts, quantitative easing thanks to corporate devotion to BlackRock's ESG scores and endless regulations to keep upstart competition out of the market. The released Twitter files and Mark Zuckerberg's own words shows just how closely the government supervised what may or may not be said on those platform and it's a safe bet that other social media platforms are doing the same. In this environment, businesses that want to survive and flourish find that not only was Phaemon's Dog right, but he eats well too. However, this merger of managerial capitalism and managerial government was only a matter of time as both are based on the same paradigm with similar goals and realized cooperation was more effective and profitable for both. 

For comparison, the People's Republic of China, big businesses make payouts to CCP officials, crawl on their hands and knees as slavish cheerleaders for the CCP to get a piece of the action there but for the most part, have CCP members as owners, partners or as officers of the company. How many mainstream media companies have former politicians and government officials on their payroll and former appointed or tenured bureaucrats working in various corporations and the financial industry. This model our managerial bureaucrats are imposing on the US is not because they believe in Mao or Xi thought or communism in general, but because it increases their power and makes it both hidden under a thin corporate veil and unassailable. They can play the old good cop/bad cop routine until they feel safe enough to wield plenary power out in the open.

So these corporate and bankster worms deserve some derision and catcalls but they are only the henchmen at worst or at best, simply trying to survive in the managerial jungle. Always stay focused on the big picture of who has the monopoly on force and violence and look for who really is pulling the strings. Then think carefully about not only who to vote for for president, but the great guy politician you are planning to re-elect to the congress or the senate.

P.S.: It would seem contradictory to write here about censorship and not being censored but there is a reason for this. Written blogs, especially wall of text type blogs, mostly aren't considered the "in thing" anymore as the real influencers and big name e-celebs are on YouTube, Tiktok, Twitter or X if you will, among other popular platforms. Then there is the definition of who is an influencer which would be those with a large following, large number of likes to dislikes ratio and with a sizeable interaction in the comments section. These are the ones that attract attention and can face being demonetized, accounts deleted or facing de-platforming in other areas. So this blog fits none of these description with no followers, few readers and no comments and as such can fly below the radar even when pushing the edge of the envelope with the TOS. I would not be surprised to learn that most of those who read this blog are law enforcement, NGO's like the SPLC or ADL, or woke inquisitors searching out up and coming heretics to burn at the stake. But even they aren't stupid enough to invoke the Streisand Effect and if they bother to make any mention of this blog at all, it's to whine or grumble about it in their own echo chambers which I don't care about. 

P.P.S.: On a personal note, I don't really write for fame and fortune but rather because I find it cathartic and a way to explore and evaluate my own ideas. I write on any topic, criticize anyone I find deserves criticism no matter of what political stripe and never try to advertise this blog. Not the formula for a successful influencer and e-celeb but I have no interest in that as it would obligate me to write on topics that would be popular with an audience, refrain from criticizing their sacred cows, and write on a daily basis none of which I really want. Furthermore, it can be frustrating finding a topic to write about on a daily basis without being repetitious and boring to me or taking the time from other things I'd rather be doing to write. I can write or not when I feel like it or have the time for it. It's best this way as nobody wastes their time persecuting some nobody internet rando with the gall and audacity to sign his own name to posts and is effectively talking into the void. Otherwise, they'd make the rando a somebody whose heretical ideas may find an audience. Or perhaps, it's a way to allow what I say to quietly seep out into the wider world. Maybe the quiet ones can be the most dangerous after all.

Degrees of Death

On the left, there is almost always a hierarchy. In victims who have grievances and needs, there are always those with greater grievance and have more needs which tends to shift around. In what is advertised as an egalitarian system, this may to those mundanes who use at least simple logic and reason seem contradictory but it isn't. Post-modernism allows for truth to exist in a superposition of many "truths" or anything the leftists wants to call "truths" at the same time. But unlike superposition in modern physics that collapse into one state when observed, Marx's cat can be not only dead and alive but in all intermediate states at the same time when the box is opened and the cat observed. The truth of post-modernism is that there is really no truth. The rank and file Marxist simply picks the one state of "truth" suitable for the moment that satisfies some emotional need or better highlights his virtue and the leadership picks the one that advances the Party's interests. So rather than puzzle things out, it's easier to do what any leftist does in this situation: Just to accept today's declaration of the hivemind on the matter and forget and deny the existence of what contradictory thing was declared true yesterday. Facts and reality be damned!

The only exception to the rule of hierarchy on the left where there is only one truth is in the matter of their enemies, i.e. anyone who disagrees even in the slightest with the dogmas of the One True Ideological religion. There is only one Devil of literally Hitler (with many faces) and his legion of witches and demons with their fixed moral character of pure evil and their insufferable fixation on fact based truthiness. And but one commandment on the matter to the faithful- Thou shalt not suffer a witch or their truth of empirical fact to live.

But all rules have exceptions to even the exceptions. Don't try to figure that out, just accept that sometimes the centrally planned and controlled mind of the leftist functions much like that of a of an OCD addled bureaucrat- all things must be categorized and sorted.

So three paragraphs of  digression and annoyingly long sentences later we have not yet come to the topic of death? You'd think any blog with such a morbid and macabre title, this author would jump right into the subject of death. Hell, the damned blog should be a grisly exposition of moldering lichs and graveyards! What gives, caretaker!

Just warming you up, dear reader. Setting the table as it were with the rotted flesh of a decayed and intellectually dead ideology before we autopsy the subject at hand.

So today we have the latest apocalypse/fear porn craze sweeping not only the nation, but the world: corona virus COVID-19. It is a most contagious and deadly plague as if the medieval black plague had a love child with the Andromeda strain creating a microbial demon spawn. Even if you can't see the hospitals overflowing with the desperately ill and dead bodies littering the streets with your lying eyes, the computer models read by the high priests of expertise assure us they are there. If not outside the really cool graphics on their xbox models then in the soon to happen terrifying second (or maybe third) wave. And since this variant of a common cold virus is so incredibly murderous and evil, death by COVID-19 has been elevated into the most worstest form of death one can experience. Worse than gunshot wounds or climate change deaths at present. Orders of magnitude more horrifying than more mundane and unimportant forms of death that don't rate on the SJW scale.

So sometimes if the Devil is death, there can be worse forms of death for which the entire might of the Managerial State must be deployed against without a moment's delay. And all actions of the State are unquestionable otherwise such doubting miscreants who question diktats or ask for proof are guilty of being in league with the demon virus. They want grandma to die! The exception to the one Devil exception is when the previous devils of gun violence, racism and climate change failed to scare the masses enough for them to allow political leaders and bureaucrats to take plenary power.

This is where the constant changing reasons for lockdowns and moving of goalposts to end it makes sense. It's a Ruling Class who although at first, not seeing its potential, came to realize that this Wuhan flu is the crisis that should be exploited to the max. It's the perfect boogeyman in that it's not only a mysterious, invisible killer but it's a personal one that can strike any individual without warning or mercy. Or at least as mainstream media propaganda makes it out to be as even the CDC stats are starting to show it to be an average cold and flu season. And it worked beautifully.

Never since September 11, 2001 have Americans been so ready willing and eager to not only surrender more of their rights and freedoms, but even better: To slavishly wear masks and stay 6 feet from each other. Depersonalized, atomized as a community, treated like a child that cannot understand what is best for him and degraded in servile obedience. Even going so far as to spend their own money on masks and gloves for the honor and privilege of entering and spending their money in a store. They tolerate this disrespect from businesses because they're too scared of the invisible killer to remember such things as the customer is the lifeblood of a business and the customer is always right.

This is not because the government has made such extraordinary claims about how dangerous this virus is with extraordinary proof given but just because our betters simply said so. Most people did not ask one single question as to why this lockdown thing with the masks and distancing stuff which was never done before in prior pandemics was really necessary. Nor did they ask that government officials prove it would be effective. Nor did the government bother to prove it anyway. As this is now the absolute worst form of death, the masses simply did as they were told like good little peasants.

We will now have to live like feudal serfs, tied to our homes and only allowed out for only essential (by official expert government definition) reasons and we must wear face masks to show our unconditional fealty to our Master's commandments. Then it's as if we expect our Master's Experts will tell us that avoiding the most deadly form of death, we can live forever. That the average age of death from Wuhan flu or by some stretched definition is about 80 years old so one would assume that's the natural human lifespan but no. We cannot lose one precious otherwise immortal life or at least have grandma in hospice care live a few months more or the younger terminally ill get their full promised 6 months to a year to live. This would be just.....wrong!

Proof be damned and anyone who is skeptical and dares asks for proof, questioning his better government expert with "Doctor" as his first name is a denier and a heathen miscreant. A heretic who is evil and wants to kill someone's grandma and so must be unfriended and cast into the void forthwith. Probably a racist and white supremacist too.

We must never, ever question any government bureaucrat with "Doctor" as his first name as he is the anointed Infallible High Priest. Any other dissenting first name Doctor must be ignored as he is in league with the Wuhan demon virus and the great Orange Satan. Nothing must shake the faith of the progressive congregation in the official narrative of today's most worst form of death ever... until it is officially changed by the officially recognized authorities of the Great Hivemind.

So our autopsy of the rancid corpse of progressive liberalism is complete and the cause of death was denial of reality, hiding behind the authority of experts worshiped as gods and an idiotic submissiveness to a narrative and agenda. An agenda whose true purpose the rank-and-file progressive liberal/Social Justice Warrior himself does not or cannot understand. Nor can the SJW notice the contradictory narratives of the Wuhan demon virus precautions and the BLM/Antifa demonstrations and riots in which all COVID-19 rules and precautions are cancelled without explanation. It seems that only Black people can die when killed by white police officers which at least for the time being is now the most worst form of death.

One would think that anyone who really follows this cult would have a serious case of whiplash from following the rapid fire narrative changes and sharp about faces of "truth" but no. The faithful progs try ever harder to keep up. They're used to the multiple realities of Marx's cat and can reverse course at a moment's notice from huffpo. Yesterday's truth is quickly forgotten in light of today's new truth. Today's cause upon which the fate of the world hangs in the balance is serious until a new, even more super serious cause comes along. The worst form of death is the worst until the Masters decide a new form of death is even worse than that. The liberal prog and SJW simply nod and obey. They then engage in purity spirals among themselves to establish status and persecute the witches and heretics who are either outright skeptics or progs who aren't pure enough.

In the end, this COVID-19 Wuhan flu thing is a political abuse of expertise and science prostituted for a political and economic agenda. We hire an expert to give us their opinion but as rational adults, we also seek out other experts' opinions, then do our due diligence and research to decide which expert opinion cost/benefit would be best for us. There are those who are incompetent imbeciles who have no other choice than to look upon government experts as infallible authorities and need some demagogue to lead them. Unfortunately, this sort of cretin and their Masters are all too ubiquitous in modern society and their fears given too much credence by Joe and Jane Normie.

Conversely there are those like a certain blogger of my acquaintance who follows the worstest form of novel virus death because he is either a virtue signalling twat or a political rent boy hoping for his Master to upgrade him from a seat in a toy government community council to run for political office. Maybe both. Either way, his mindlessly following arbitrary rules with a born again fervor while hiding behind an appeal to authority is subservience veiled with gravity. This is the hallmark of a contemptible character. Just like all the others who slavishly follow these absurd rules.

For Some Small Businesses Like Restaurants, It's Not Adapt or Die. They Don't Understand It's Just Die already.

The Peasant Mindset never ceases to amaze me in a horrifying sort of way. When I wrote that post, I had at least some notion that new information or observation could come along in the future that would have me revisit this theory and revise or discard it as necessary. Maybe it's better than average correct but I had no idea how accurate the theory really was. Not that it pleases me to be right, but on the contrary, I am dismayed and disgusted by it. The more the notion that on average people will behave like servile peasants has spread around the internet as many more people than myself have independently come up with the idea, I hoped more normies would have seen this and acted to prove it wrong. Joe and Jane Normie view themselves as proud Americans and nothing could be less American than being a debased slave of the State and if called out on it, they would act to refute it. I was in the end, wrong for being right.

Two of the most fundamental ideals of being an American are valuing and protecting their inalienable individual rights, protected from government encroachment by the Bill of Rights and free enterprise. But under the multi-purpose tool of this alleged demon virus, COVID-19, Joes and Janes around the country can't surrender to the plenary power of the State fast enough or more completely. Even at the cost of their own livelihoods, they will in effect, willingly commit suicide to prove what loyal little peasants they are. And in this Brooklyn Daily Eagle article, behold the once proud Americans castrate themselves out of unreasoning fear and obsequiousness before the politicians and bureaucrats who are supposed to be the public's servants.

The restaurants owners have given up any pretense of government by and for the people for the "new normal" of micro-managed government control down to how many patrons my dine there, that salt and pepper shakers cannot be on the tables and how many feet apart patrons must be- or else. Patrons are even required to wear face masks while alone in a restroom so to enforce this edict, how long will it be before cameras are mandated in bathrooms. The panopticon taken to levels undreamed of by Orwell and would have made the likes of Hitler, Stalin and Mao blush.

Not that any of our Betters have bothered to prove that this virus is in any way novel or deadly, or that there is any science behind this anal-retentive hypochondria beyond hysterical claims based on wildly inaccurate computer models. The facts even from the CDC show COVID-19 isn't worse than an average cold and flu season. So why go through all this shutdown/lockdown essential/non-essential, masks and social distancing nonsense? Because government apparatchiks said so, that's why and that's all the filthy peasants need to know.

These restaurant owners seem to forget that that as taxpayers and voters, that the politicians and bureaucrats they kowtow to are in fact their employees, not their masters even if politicians threaten their licenses. Does the Chamber of Commerce have no lobbying power? Do these business owners not make contributions to political campaigns such that they have some influence with elected politicians? Do they not vote in elections? Can they not band together for a class action lawsuit that would force the state of New York to prove their claims of how dangerous this COVID-19 virus is and prove the science behind and necessity of all these draconian regulations? Did anyone not notice how all the mask wearing, social distancing and prohibition of demonstrations and groups not to exceed 10 people have gone completely out the window in light of the George Floyd/BLM/Antifa demonstrations, riots and looting? How many businesses were further hurt by this while the city and state stood by and did nothing. In fact, how many government apparatchiks with some sort of medical degree declared these events as good and will cause no public health problems. What more proof does anyone need to see that city, state and federal government officials who have imposed this control freak's Orwellian wet dream on us were lying all along?

To these restaurant and bar owners who believe they can conform to this artificial "new normal" and survive, I tell you this: You'll lose eventually because the powers that be have decreed it. Our Masters have found that when people get together and socialize, the peasants get into such mischief as questioning the official narrative, voting for Orange man bad, Boris Johnson and Brexit and develop the temerity and hubris to live above their lowly station. The peasant begins to see himself as the equal of his Master and this must be stopped. No amount of whining "not me","it wasn't me doing these things", "I'm a loyal progressive liberal" will matter. Your goodthinker progressive credentials and past acts will not save you from Witch Hunter Karen.

The U.S. Constitution has long been a thorn in the side of the Managerial Ruling Class and has been de-facto overthrown with governors and mayors illegally ruling through fiat. We must not stand for it and must vote all politicians who went along with this out of office. No exceptions for your Great Guy.  If I was correct in the Peasant Mindset then I may well be correct now in what I write. If nothing else, you can have pride in yourselves as competent, productive adults who contribute to their communities and local economies. Otherwise, you'd be forced to eke out a marginal existence as incompetent imbeciles wholly dependent on the opinions and decisions of government experts fetishized as infallible high priests. You built businesses and worked too hard for them to now accept living on your knees for the reason a politician or bureaucrat merely said so.

There is no longer any room in the new perfect planned and controlled cashless society for such small fry as yourselves so if you survive these regulations, a new invisible killer unicorn threat will be manufactured with even more stringent rules to finally kill you all off. As the length of time for such non-essential businesses as yours and the reasons for it were changed so many times already do you not see you were being lied to? Understand that all the virtue signalling, fealty and groveling to your Betters will not save you as it shows how weak and cowardly you are. It will only make your destruction more satisfying to our political masters as they slowly crush you. Your dying squeals for mercy and of loyalty while on your knees will be sweet music to their ears. Don't believe the lies, don't meekly accept this new normal. Fight back now before it's too late.

Morons like me- Comments on the Newtown Pentacle post "Sunniest Room", posted May 12, 2020

We all make mistakes, going along with something because everyone else was doing it only to later realize how absurd and foolish we were. Like thinking polyester disco clothes or leisure suits looked cool. Realizing the mistake and fixing it is what we must do. Better late than never.

One way to do it: Changing one's position slowly and by small degrees over a period of time is the best way to do an about face. Hopefully there are no wits or wags out there to recall one's original, shall we say, not very well thought out stance, which would highlight one's gullibility. Well, we're all guilty sometimes of the proverbial brain fart. I do also count myself as 'present' in that dubious roll call.

Just in the aftermath, we're left with the sticky problem of extricating ourselves with whatever shreds of dignity we can muster. The last thing one should do is respond with sobbing and railing against their interlocutor as picking their arguments apart like some evil black raven.

That's OK for the cad or bounder but completely undignified for the learned and bookish sort of gentleman. One should realize that they should have constructed a better thesis and accept the criticism with stoic equanimity.

Yes, even with the seat of one's trousers torn away, we should hold our heads high as we walk away with our bare arses hanging out. Because sooner or later we 'll turn a corner where our detractors will no longer see us and distance will fade their mocking laughter. Stiff upper lip, keep calm and carry on and such.

OK, so what does the previous doggerel have to do with this Newtown Pentacle post or even anything sensible? Nothing, I suppose.

Is this the start of that slow about face or is it more "damn the iceberg, full speed ahead! Trust our experts, we're unsinkable!" I dunno. Maybe I'm one of those dullard Libertarians, Bible Thumpers, supply siders, Tea Partiers, bleach drinkers or just a moron.

So this super virus is the love child of the Andromeda strain and the black death. Only we can't see the sick everywhere around us and Eric Idle pulling a cart shouting "bring out your dead" but our experts and Mitch can. If any bleach drinking, bible thumping, libertarian supply siding Tea Partier says different, then they're conspiracy theorists which means their questions may be summarily dismissed because they drink bleach for heaven's sake. Furthermore as I quote from  Planet Moron:

The CoronAmerica daemon virus is the worstest we've evah faced and all praise to his Celestial Majesty Andy Cuomo of Nipplerings (and seconded by our Humble Narrator with spaniel like fidelity) for shutting everything down lest we all die because He and the High Priests of Expertise said so. Stay at home, wear your mask properly or face the wrath of the NYPD, stay 6 feet apart and line up outside half empty stores like good Soviet citizens even if our betters do not.

So it isn't simply because I said so but do as I say and not as I do. That's okay with you, isn't it Mitch? Sure! Because it's a public health emergency even if the political and upper bureaucratic establishment don't follow the rules they impose on us. Members of Congress are exempted from the covid vaccine mandate mere peasants can lose their jobs or be denied medical treatment if they refuse. Pay no attention to the apparatchik behind the curtain or the bitter almond aftertaste of the Kool-Aid you're drinking. I suppose I'm the fool to disagree in light of the apocalyptic ravages of the daemon virus only the wiser and more enlightened can see. Fools had ne'er less grace in a year...

I guess I'm a truculent moron who adheres to hopelessly outdated notions of science and proof. As well, I have no credentials to gainsay my betters who are entitled to make ex cathedra pronouncements. But even a bleach drinking moron should conduct himself with proper dignity especially when bookish and learned gentlemen play the fool. I shall now walk away, trounced and bare arsed, with stoic equanimity.

To be fair and play devil's advocate, I realize this may (or may not) be just some of Mitch's shtick In which case I would owe him an apology with the excuse that sometimes it's hard to tell when he's being serious or when he's putting you on as he has a perfect sense of timing and is very subtle when laying it on. What could possibly go wrong when crony-capitalist grifters, socialist parasites looking for more free stuff, Dunning-Kruger addled idiots who want to run the world and a grocer get together and plan a new way of providing electricity for a major city. Without coal or gas fired or nuclear power plants? Sounds like the start of a joke and it sort of is except we the people will be the butt of this jocularity.

But it gets even better, a utility run by government bureaucrats, you know, just like the bureaucrats who do such an fantastic job operating our public transportation system. Should we be relieved that our progressive leftist overlords have seemingly discarded Orwell's '1984' as an operations manual and have instead embraced Mike Judge's 2006 movie Idiocracy as their guide to creating a low-tech, socialist version of the Shire instead?

Or more likely would we fondly reminisce about the good old days of Soviet Stalinism and how much better we would have had it if we stayed the course in becoming a Soviet State? At least Soviet citizens had reliable power even with a nuclear power plant disaster and their public transportation system worked.

Because New York bureaucrats and politicians are scrupulously honest and amazingly competent and electricity rates will be lowered with improved service? Uh, no, they're corrupt morons who could mismanage pouring piss out of a boot with the instructions printed on the heel while over-running the cost to double or triple the original estimate and then taking anywhere over 5 years to complete the task they said would only take 1 to 2 years to complete. Just like every other municipal project.

This would be a bigger fiasco than when the two privately operated mass transit companies were taken over and run by city (then in 1940, now NY state) functionaries as is now our MTA subway system. So much for the 5 cent fare that would never go up and $2.75 today simply is not enough.

But of course, we have Costa Constantinides on the case because when you want to design a municipal power system for a city of 8 million people who wouldn't ask the advice of a grocer turned windbag politician? I mean, this is New York, we don't need some geek squad engineers when we got Costa, some project dwellers and environmental activist wackos.

So unless we want to lie to ourselves that generators powered by burning wood chips is somehow "carbon neutral". That natural gas (or liquid natural gas) fired generators are redefined by some slippery lawyerly legerdemain as not being "fossil fuel" therefore, ispo facto a form of renewable energy. Or that when the wind and sun aren't cooperating in meeting power demands which means buying energy from elsewhere causing the spot energy prices to skyrocket then get used to frequent blackouts, otherwise watch your electricity bill triple.

Well, since the great bureaucratic superbrains of New York will be large and in charge, get used to blackouts and skyrocketing energy prices all the while being hectored and lectured about how we use too much energy and don't pay enough for it.

The real joke of this is: There is no climate emergency, the world is not going to end in 12 years, there's really no excuse for this and we're going to get this bullshit rammed down our collective throats anyway. C'mon! Laugh, it's funny!

Let's cut to the chase: No matter how loud anyone yells about the Sunnyside yards project, no matter what rinky-dink cabal of local...uh make that midwestern soy-fed imported fake-local asshole leftist group holds yet another dreary meeting to honk and quack about it, this project will happen come hell or high water. This leviathan was ordained by ruling class powers far higher on a national level than the local yokel minor gentry tasked with its construction. Even up as high as the new emerging trans-national ruling class collective with the full throated approval of our own rulers. So as far as our masters and betters are concerned, we can shove our objections up our collective asses sideways. It's Agenda 21 uber alles, my boy.

Whatever drama opposition groups manages to drum up remains only that- drama, strum und drang, sound and fury signifying nothing. I happen to oppose this Sunnyside Yard project myself but I'm realist enough to understand it will happen because our ruling class wants it to happen and those rulers and their vassal elites neither like us nor care how it affects us. The building rampage throughout this city will continue unabated as it is one of the few industries left that isn't fully tax dollar funded. Without it, our economy will be in hurting shape.

If you don't like it, Mitch, maybe you shouldn't have supported the progressive liberal program and the politicians who planned and will implement this behemoth. Because it is they who screwed you just as I said they would. Just saying.

It makes perfect sense that a ruling class populated by people of empty words and meaningless gestures with not a single man of action among them, or woman of action for that matter, would attempt to overthrow a president with such a flimsy and contrived impeachment plot. Such people are only capable of the lamest intrigues, plots based on rumor and innuendo and charges stretched to such absurd lengths as to mock logic and  utterly beggar credulity. This is the world of the managerial apparatchik, the red/blue uniparty factotum, the closed circle of the ruling class. They neither know nor care for the opinions and wishes of the unwashed masses of proles and peasants over whom they rule. Nor do they even see us as their fellow countrymen, let alone as their equals.

That these managerial plodders would care if the peasantry notices that the base their articles of impeachment, these high crimes and misdemeanors are exaggerations of events based almost exclusively on hearsay bothers our rulers not in the least. This impeachment imbroglio is not meant to convince the average American that President Trump must be removed from office just under a year from elections based on an anonymous eavesdropping "whistle blower's" shouting "j'accuse!". This work of theater, especially in the face of the Inspector General's report detailing some FBI wrongdoing during the so-called Russian Collusion investigation is not meant to sway the peasants but to demonstrate the power of the ruling class. Of course a thin veneer of semantics- "monitoring" instead of "spying", softens the impact of wrongdoing for the appearance of upholding the law must be cynically maintained to make breaking the law even more insufferably arrogant.

To add insult to injury, this gives cover for ardent Democrat fanboys and girls to rebut the heretical non-believers and rub the government's intransigence and unwillingness to obey its own laws in our collective faces like the good little slaves that they are.

That this is little more than a point and shriek first and loudest diversion from the actions of corrupt Democrats in the Ukraine gets lost in endless investigations that go nowhere and "we got 'em now! Orange man bad go to jail!" soundbites that are inevitably nothing. Even if we are paying attention, so what? What are ya gonna do about it, proles?

But for anyone not blinded by ideology or fooled by verbal rope-a-dope, the message is clear: Our betters make the laws and thus are above all laws and so only little people are forced to obey them. When our betters' vice and iniquity come to light, they simply laugh at us as they very publicly sweep it away. They know we will not do a damn thing about it, not even vote incumbent politicians out of office.

The articles of impeachment are not likely to result in removal but it will still be a triumph of the picayune, the jejune, that which is the modus operandi of our managerial overlords. It is a grotesque demonstration of power in the end. After Trump leaves office, the bi-factional red/blue uniparty and managerial apparatchiks will erase any trace of Trump's policies and then take steps to ensure that no more outsiders and interlopers become candidates for public office again.

Strange Bedfellows

It's too often said the politics makes for strange bedfellows but what is left out is the question of who is on the top which is really the most important factor(s).

It's a seemingly strange thing how such groups as corporations, big government politicians and apparatchiks, NGOs and sundry activists can appear to advocate for their own unique and different interests, sometimes opposing each other and yet at the same time, mostly will cooperate with each other. It's a phenomena that causes some to focus on only the differences and to then resort to the most crude, reductionist caricatures to make their cherry-picked facts fit their single magic bullet theory such as big anything bad and it's all about money. To some extent these can be factors but when dealing with large groups, reasons can be more varied and nuanced between the groups and even individuals within groups. Deconstruction can be a useful tool for understanding complex systems but the difficult part is to reduce motivations and reasons to their most basic components and understanding how they interact with each other without becoming too reductionist. Many people seem most comfortable with simple, single bullet explanations and are too intellectually lazy to look deeper.

The best explanation for mutual cooperation between largely unrelated groups is the Pareto Optimum from game theory. It can be thought of as a group of cars driving together on a highway where each driver has their own reason for driving and their own destination but it is in the best interests of most drivers to cooperate by following the rules of the road in order to arrive at their destination. There will be some drivers who will speed faster than the others, cut each other off, or get into an accident with another car but for the most part, the majority can be sure of reaching their destination. If too many drivers refuse to follow the rules, the result is known to be a large multi-car accident that blocks the highway and nobody will be able to get where they're going.

We human beings, imperfect as we may be, are moral actors capable of acting in our own best self interests whether rational or not and for either material or transcendent goals. So to some extent, cooperating with others with whom ones disagrees or even hates, at least for the present, if it advances their own goals and is therefore in their best interests. We may not always be rational but on average, we're not completely stupid.

So it would not be unexpected to see chemical companies support nominally luddite and anti-capitalist environmentalists in combating the so-called "ozone hole" as they would profit by patenting new refrigerants that don't last as long as the old freon, whose patent had expired, and need to be replaced more often. It wouldn't be difficult to understand why large corporations would support the ever growing list of EPA regulations and more stringent requirements to count a few hundred molecules per cubic centimeter of air as navigating all the regulations and compliance costs prevent upstart competitors from entering the business field. And to make large donations to politicians of both parties to buy the favor of allowing corporate lobbyists write legislation to their own benefit.

It must be remembered that corporations, no matter how large, may have influence but lacking an army or the law enforcement power to compel a citizen to obey the corporation's diktats, the corporation can not have real power. That is strictly reserved for government which commands a military, courts and law enforcement. Power to take a citizen's freedom, possessions or even his life for breaking the laws set forth by government. As Chairman Mao rightly said "power flows from the barrel of a gun" so the man with the gun, who can kill the man with the gold and simply take it all for himself unless the man with the gold offers to share it, is invariably in charge of the situation. Those who wield power will also jealously guard that power and not let it slip into the hands of those who are subordinate to their power.

Therefore the relationship between managerial corporations and the managerial state is more one of the vassal to his liege lord. The vassal pays tribute and swears obedience to his liege and in return the vassal is permitted, within limits, a free hand within his fiefdom. So with these bedfellows, it is clear who is on top.

In return for their fealty, the large corporations seem fine with being used by their managerial government overlords as the sockpuppet villains, used to deplatform and censor dissidents to the government's globalist schemes and to take the flak from the dupes of both the left and the right for it. The protection from competition, the  privileges and profits they receive, the too big to fail bailouts for playing along make it well worth it.  And as the system of government becomes more authoritarian verging into totalitarianism, corporate expressions of support for government policies will become more ostentatious and unctuous.

This is in contrast to the idea that corporations and billionaires are in fact the puppet masters of the government which is a favorite trope among libertarians and libertarian apostates who refer to themselves as the alt-right or dissident right. Libertarians, their apostates and heretics are unable to get past the notion that 'money makes the world go 'round' as they believe that all the fabulous wealth and bling simply bedazzles the people of the government power structure and magically compels obedience. What they observe as rich people, the elite, exercising privileges not enjoyed by the plebeian masses are privileges the elite have paid to have, not given from a fawning ruling class who stand in open mouthed awe of their wealth.

This misunderstanding is due to first, they ignore or are blithely unaware of the fact that most power in government resides in the unelected bureaucracy as it is these managers who create laws and regulations and who actually operate government on a day-to-day basis. Tenured bureaucrats can find any number of ways to disobey the directives of the elected executive or legislative oversight with little fear of being fired. Corporate donations mean nothing to a bureaucrat who does not need it to keep his job.

Secondly, it is an obstinate refusal or failure to recognize the difference between models of power and models of influence. One can always refuse the requests or proposals of another who can only wield influence with money, goods or services as the lure. However, one cannot refuse the command of another who wields the power to forcibly take one's property, freedom or life by any means legal or illegal. Just as it is a failure of libertarians to understand the hierarchy of which the climate and environment of the country shapes the people which forms their culture. Then downstream of culture is formed their government and political system which in turn forms their economic system. The private business components formed within the economic system are therefore is no more capable of changing the the political system than it is in changing the physical nature or culture of the people who created it. The cart can never drive the horse.

However, to return to the topic at hand, it's to be expected that all large corporations would enthusiastically support the latest catastrophe du jour, global warming/climate change. It would not only usher in more new competition killing EPA regulations that might even knock off existent competitor corporations in the bargain. As well it would offer more crony capitalist grifter and middleman businesses opportunities to sell, by government mandate, more unneeded goods and services that are alleged to save the world from the weather. This also explains the recent "woke" capital mania as the vassal tries to emulate his lord's whims in social engineering and social justice to curry favor with his liege. It should also be added that ever image conscious corporations whose upper management tend to be as socially and culturally isolated from the average American as the political establishment. So the corporate heads might come to believe that progressivism is as popular with the majority of Americans as the mainstream media tells them. After all, the people voted Barack Obama president twice, didn't they? Going SJW "woke" would make for a kinder, gentler, corporate image and make the American people like them, wouldn't it?

However, following the progressive path of "woke" capital means not only talking the talk but walking the walk. So as corporations are obliged to create progressive positions within their company like expanded definition human resources, diversity coordinators, sensitivity trainers, etc., positions that cost the business money without adding any value to goods and services or improved productivity. To this end, they hire progressive leftist social justice warriors to occupy these positions as only such people would be interested in these tasks. What the corporate heads either failed to understand or whose new age CEO's would think is cool is that the SJW's they hired would in turn hire many more SJW's until the business that the corporation is engaged in would turn away from that business' function of providing goods and services people want or need and concentrate on social justice issues. The result is eventually a business that loses money. Marvel Comics, the latest Star Trek series and the Star Wars franchise are examples of this. The only businesses that can survive this SJW convergence are crony capitalist ventures with guaranteed government support, a multi-billionaire patron willing to throw good money after bad, the stock market with quantitative easing or as previously mentioned those which are deemed by government as "too big to fail". In effect, practically any large corporation, bank or brokerage.

It may be good to be the king but it certainly pays well to be the king's loyal lap dog.

Those Darned Trump Supporters Can't Accept That Orange Man Bad!

To a progressive liberal, the concept of truth doesn't necessarily mean real world, empirical fact any more than a word must be strictly defined by some bourgeoisie dictionary. Just as gender is fluid and can have more than 57 definitions, so are words, phrases and concepts. This allows the leftist to always remain on the right side of history by constantly shifting definitions and goalposts. There is a higher truth in leftist clown world  that serves the greater good of promoting the 'One True Political and Social Belief System' that will lead us into the equalitarian consumer globalist utopia. Outside, in the desolation of the mundane real world where normal human beings live, we call it lying and noble cause corruption. But what do we know when our betters have a superior grasp of the situation and more importantly, complete control of society.

As liberals and leftists like to constantly tell us, they're just more totally super smarter than us on the right because only liberals and leftists are smart enough to declare themselves as super smart. Q.E.D.

It's "truth" that needs not only quotation marks but an asterick next to it as to distinguish it from the factual truth pedantic troglodytes of the right bitterly cling to rather than Sandy the Barmaid Ocasio-Cortez's higher "moral truth" that just happens to agree with and serve the current socialist identity cult. It's not truth as defined by a dictionary but a truth by-product, plastic enough to serve the cause. Really, this was said by GOPe cuck, courtier and loyal acolyte of the New World Order Peter Wehner. A Bush the Elder man and adviser of the ruling class who served in the Reagan, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush administrations.

A shameful reminder of how Reagan sold his soul to the ruling class and their agenda against his own version of draining the swamp and making America great agenda to become president. It's why Reagan didn't get done much of the dismantling the managerial state agenda he promised in the 1970's as the ruling class kept him on a short leash. With having the liberal George H.W. as his running mate and heir apparent, the rulers could be sure to later erase any changes Reagan did make. Let the proles who are still patriotic and believe in government as envisioned by the founders have their fun for 8 years. We can wait.

Here Wehner is trotted out as the official Republican who denounces the Orange Man bad to lend the narrative some kind of credibility. It also helps to keep up the morale of the rank and file progressive leftists and liberals by reassuring them how smart they are in accepting the official higher moral "truth"* and rejecting bourgeoisie real world based factual truth. Fear not super smart comrades, war is peace, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength! We are working night and day to rid the White House of this orange miscreant and hero of racist middle American dullards! All those unwashed masses of mundanes, the jocks, cool kids and love interests who rejected you in middle school will suffer for not acclaiming you and recognizing your genius.

But now comes Trump who bucks the ruling class and does an end run around the official government operated media and talks directly to the American people through social media! How gauche! Trump who was not properly vetted and trained in the globalist agenda and who won the presidency against all the wonk's predictions! Why, the proles might start forgetting their lowly station and have the temerity to believe that it is they, we the people, who run this empire.

So this is not only about Trump but about his supporters. Destroying the reputation and impugning  the man himself and using bogus Russian collusion allegations and the impeachment dog and pony show to make Orange Man bad go away is a demonstration of ruling class power to the plebs of middle America. Behold how we cast ordure upon your Orange champion and break him and his agenda that you so desperately wanted, foolish little people. Resistance is futile!

The Red/Blue Uniparty Opposes Foreign Aid Cuts

This has been sitting in draft for quite a while. It's an oldie but a goodie.

Yet another dreary article about the bad Orange man and his latest outrage against the prerogatives established ruling order with the usual comments by the rabbity NPCs of their incessant bleats of "Orange Man bad" and "you is a Russian agent" to those who challenge them.

The ruling class of the supranational body that calls itself "the United States of America" now does not even bother to hide its contempt, if not outright hatred, for the loyal heritage and stock Americans whose labor provides the tax monies upon which these managerial parasites subsist.

It's bad enough that our betters view the money we earn not as our money, but the government's money that they grudgingly allow us to keep a portion of. Worse that politicians and bureaucrats get angry at us for not appreciating this but an intolerable hubris that these managerial creatures feel spending our money on foreign countries is of greater importance than either spending it on ourselves or saving the money. Gaia forbid that the government let us uppity peasants forget our lowly station and attempt to tell our betters what to do.

Besides, it would anger the lobbyists for foreign governments and the donors that our political class depend on for campaign cash, free trips and other goodies. Never let it be said that when you bribe an American politician that he does not come through on his end of the quid pro quo because that would be unethical.

Seriously though, since the end of world war 2, U.S. cold war foreign policy was predicated on what can only be called bribery to make friends and allies around the world. Giving other countries sweetheart trade deals and cold cash in foreign aid was how the U.S. kept those countries out of the Soviet sphere. But with managerial bureaucracy as large as the federal government, it develops a certain momentum from its tremendous mass that makes it next to impossible for the bureaucracy change direction as the situation changes. As there is no more Soviet Union to compete against in the world arena it should cause the State Department to re-asses its positions on trade policies and foreign aid grants but it doesn't. After more than three generations of older permanent bureaucrats telling the new, incoming bureaucrats how foreign policy is done, the reasoning behind the policies becomes lost in the mists of time. The policies are the way they are because that's how it was always done. It is time for the State Department to finally realize that the cold war is over and that in the new globalist order, the U.S. government must do the job it was hired by the people to do which is representing our best interests over the interests of foreign governments and foreign peoples.

One can only hope President Trump will be more resolute in addressing this matter.

Styxhexenhammer666: A good content creator who sometimes gets confused in putting the economic cart before the sociopolitical horse.

Tarl Warwick the author, editor and youtuber who posts under the handle Styxhexenhammer666 is a good content creator whom I watch regularly and have even purchased some of his books. Styx presents common sense analysis in a straightforward manner that talks directly to his audience, not down to them and as such has amassed a sizable following. He's a bright guy who is fluent in normie and I can easily find myself agreeing with him up to 90% of the time. I have just a couple of points of disagreement too long to post in a comment.

As to the title and main idea of this post, Styx describes himself as a libertarian and this is why he does not grasp the fundamental concept that economics is downstream of politics as politics is downstream of culture. He therefore overlooks the cognitive dissonance created by claiming big tech businesses deplatform or censor content creators with whom the tech businesses make money and then acknowledges that the so-called "woke" capital always loses money. But why? Because they're either threatened by these youtube content creators because...reasons or some other big media business with tens of millions of viewers per program fears competition from youtubers with several thousand to hundreds of thousands or around a million viewers per upload. He likewise acknowledges that it is mostly perceived "right wingers" that are subjected to censorship and de-platforming on social media but then to deny the obvious political motivation and bolster that characteristic libertarian "man as a rational economic actor" nostrum he talks on about the few outlier leftists who are given the same treatment.

No businessman or CEO in his right mind or absent compulsion by forces greater than himself would willingly deplatform successful content creators as to in effect kick money out of bed. Not to mention that in doing so, big tech alienates the fans of said content creator, customers and with draconian censorship discourages new customers and content creators with whom they make more money. To claim big media somehow would be willing to spend more money, without any reasonable way to profit from it to "bribe" social media tech firms to do the dirty work of deplatforming much smaller potential competitors is ludicrous. Big mainstream media makes its money selling advertising spots, not by posting content on youtube or other social media. Television and cable news were always operated at a loss for the corporate owners which was offset by their other, more popular and profitable offerings. It's not about the number of views on youtube but the Nielsen ratings that the TV people care about. To have these industries act in such close concert and often within 24 hours of each other in a way that harms their economic interests clearly demonstrates a higher coordinating power with a clear agenda at work than the libertarian's usual "muh money" thinking. Also consider how in the recent congressional hearings on the rise of white nationalism/white supremacy the big Silicon Valley CEOs were hauled in and berated for not censoring badthinkers on their platforms enough. If that was all some kind of act, it sure looked very convincing.
So it IS a political and social agenda at work here, Styx, your money is the root of all evil thesis not withstanding.

Sometimes the rational economic actor motive can be true but when all you have is the economic materialist man hammer then everything looks like a rich man bad/muh money nail. Any analysis that cannot fully explain all observed facts and yields a contradictory result must be assumed to be incorrect and re-examined.
Styx should really add a few more tools besides that one hammer to his kit.

So here is the crux of the problem. Styx, like any libertarian, does not understand the left (or real human nature for that matter) at all.

Whereas human beings have moral agency and will act in their own best self interest even if it is in an irrational and/or immoral manner, libertarians are stuck on the flawed premise that all human interactions are rational and economic. The libertarian is too much a pure materialist with a minimalist philosophy to comprehend the irrational, emotionally based thinking of fanatical leftists (explained further in my previous posts here, here and here). To a person with a rigid adherence to the few strictly materialistic philosophic principles libertarianism has, the concept of an immoral and irrational leftist who cares only about winning, carrying out their agenda, at any and all cost, even if it causes the bankruptcy of a business is, to the libertarian, inconceivable. That the left will ruthlessly pursue anyone who either disagrees with them, the heretics and unbelievers, or those whom they view as a devil for no other reason than blind hatred completely flummoxes the libertarian. They struggle to explain this phenomena through the gnosticism of the non-aggression principle and secular materialism with no success. That the left has no limiting principles in pursuing their agenda and in persecuting their enemies is such a violation of the non-aggression principle and rational man that they are left speechless. In this situation and left with no other means of explaining it, Styx inevitably falls back on a simplistic "it's big corporations picking on us" explanation no matter how contradictory it is.

Further, libertarians are unable to grasp the difference between the concepts of influence and of power erroneously conflating simple possession of wealth with power. Wealth without real power can only buy influence and privileges (a previous post on the difference between power and influence here). It must be noted that there are limits placed on the actions, public positions and policies of all private businesses by both government laws and regulations and public opinion which influences sales and stock prices. Big corporations and billionaires may buy influence but absent possession of a large standing army, do not have any real power. Rich people may have privileges the rest of us do not have, but the rich pay those in government with real power for those privileges. It's a feudal system where the tithe paying vassal is permitted a certain amount of latitude within his fiefdom but within limits set by his liege lord.

Finally, libertarians like Styx do not even recognize that they themselves are actually part of the right but erroneously think themselves as somehow above the whole left-right thing because they sometimes find themselves on the same side of an issue as the left. (my earlier post on left and right is here) Again the libertarian does not understand the left at all. Whereas a libertarian like Styx might support such issues as homosexual marriage and legalizing some drugs consistent with their individualistic philosophy, the leftist weaponizes these issues to attack and destroy society. It's OK to be on the right, Styx.

In conclusion, I have posted very two abbreviated versions of this post in the comments section of Styx's videos. It's not surprising he did not engage me because he uploads four videos a day and receives hundreds of comments per upload. I don't expect he reads every single comment as that would be impossible. Styx certainly has other necessary things to do during the day than to personally respond to each and every comment or engage in lengthy debates. I don't think he's scared and hiding from me as another notable local blogger who shall remain nameless does so no offense is taken or offense meant with this post. If Tarl Warwick were to run for an elected office in which I could vote, he would have my vote, minor differences aside.

Blogger and photographer Mitch Waxman truly does care about what happens here in our obscure little corner of the world, the borough of Queens. He is active in local politics and advocacy groups and his heart is in the right place but sometimes the reader can discern the frustration. After all the meetings with local bureaucrats and politicians, all the work he puts in, he can make no headway against the momentum of the local managerial state's plans. The mistake made here is to try to work within a system that is designed to be changed only from the top. And by the top, we must understand this to be on the federal or even global level, not the local country squire C-list and and D-list government factotums. No amount of protest and activism will sway the plans the managerial state from implementing the schemes their think tanks and foundations have been working on for about a century. Nor can working within a system, scrupulously following the rules, be successful when the managers only follow the rules when it suits them with no repercussions or accountability. They do not care what we think, we have no power.  At best bro, be a good community council janissary and they'll let you pick the color of the curtains.

Finally, it must be realized that at the level of the managerial ruling class that makes the decisions, they are so isolated from the people over which they rule that they neither know us or how their plans affect us nor care what we think or want. I've covered all this before here, here, here, here and here.
Especially as many of the bureaucrats who are not native to New York City have this problem of not knowing anything about the neighborhoods or the people who live in them, are unlikely to be able to find them on a map or give a damn about them as they implement these oh, so brilliant plans.

In the end, all the ruling establishment cares about is implementing their agenda, their  agenda for their own purposes. Whatever unpleasant or negative effects it has upon us peons is either a feature of the program and not a bug or collateral damage our lords don't care about.

When you start out under these initial conditions then you've lost before the fight has even started.

When real problems are beyond the capabilities of the city's managerial establishment to solve, rather than appear incompetent, the real problems are ignored and the establishment goes hard on "solving" exaggerated or non-existent problems. In a system where individualism and free enterprise are utterly crushed beneath the ever growing mass of the managerial/custodial state, the concepts of an economy and wealth are mutated to mean nothing more than money changing hands between government mandated middlemen receiving either tax dollars or money extracted from their plebeian marks for goods and services nobody wants or needs. Enter now our Glorious Leader's grand plan to battle the weather save the Earth from the devil gas, carbon dioxide, who will set the Earth afire and lead the uppity peasants to sin by owning cars, eating meat and having too high of a standard of living. Behold Mayor De blasio's Green New Deal!

Seriously though, in short, all the shrill, bumptious, hype NYC gov is flogging us with is claptrap to cover another managerial state power grab and crony capitalist feeding frenzy. The ostensible reason, really a feeble excuse, might be it's good for the economy but this isn't growing an economy that creates wealth as much as it is blatant economic strip mining. Middlemen extracting money from other people's wealth with government ordered purchases of unnecessary goods and services. All this NYC Green New Deal is going to accomplish is to raise further the cost of living in a city that already has one of the highest cost of livings in the country and bind the serfs to the land. Most importantly and not to be forgotten: to re-distribute wealth from the plebs to the corporations that manufacture windmills, solar panels and the other accoutrements green sustainable living.

We're being lied to for the reasons given above by Dalrymple and Mencken.
De blasio will continue to enjoy his retinue of SUVs to take him around town in style, eat as much tasty food as he pleases (smoking pot gives you the munchies big time) and have as much electrical power to consume as he pleases- as will other high ranking members of the city's ruling class. The peasantry will live in the dark, packed like sardines in Grenfell Tower-like "green", "sustainable" buildings (heated only when they catch fire) and bound to their barracks, able travel no further than they can walk. Peasant serfs will be forbidden to eat meat because...reasons which are none of their concern. But Sandy Ocasio-Cortez and other of our betters shall chomp down on as many hamburgers as they please. Rank doth have its privileges and our betters must be visibly better in comparison to their proles who must know their lowly place. Spare the rod and spoil the peasant. Fear and humiliation in the presence of the ruling class godlings makes for good serfs.

Worst of all, this is all unnecessary. There is no credible evidence that human activity is adversely effecting Earth's climate or that future changes will be catastrophic (see in addition below). Therefore this Green New Deal is a costly solution in search of a problem. Read on for more details.

The non-problem problem:
The non-problems can be seemingly solved by a veritable dog's breakfast of new laws, speeches and government programs which includes tax money spent on bureaucracies and politically favored private sector troughers and/or government mandated goods and services the public is forced to buy by law.  As the non-problem never existed in the first place, the threat posed never materializes and the politicians and bureaucrats can then take credit for saving us all from certain disaster. But sometimes a scam is just too good, is too much of a money maker for crony capitalists and endless virtue signaling speeches from politicians that the non-problem cannot be solved yet. More money must be spent, more laws must be passed and we the people must pay more under the managerial battle cry of "it's worse than we thought, give us more power and send more money !".

So once again, with global cooling, warming, change, or whatever, we are treated to yet another round of "it's worse than we thought! we're all gonna die! send more money!" apocalypse porn. When nothing bad happens that the even plebs can see for themselves, the managerial shamans will claim credit for saving us all by waving his magick stick at the invisible sky dragon. Then magically, we'll be given another 10 or 20 years to live until the next millenarian scare.

In addition:
Note that it isn't even officially called global warming anymore, it's called climate change and all of the apocalyptic scenarios exist only in computer models using unconfirmed assumptions. Note also that we are currently in the interglacial and interstadial (warmer period) of an ice age that began about 2.6 million years ago. Yes, you've read that right- we are currently in an ice age and the paleoclimate record shows that although ice ages may last for millions of years, they are just blips in history where greenhouse (or hothouse) Earth periods are much longer and more the norm. Something our own political/bureaucratic overlords and the U.N. globalist apparatchiks will never tell you.

The hysterical and de rigueur  IPCC claims of runaway greenhouse effect, turning Earth into the planet Venus are patent nonsense unsupported by any laboratory experiments or empirical observations that confirm the hypothesis they are based upon. Climatologists have not even been able to identify the climate sensitivity of CO2 constant after decades of searching and can find no observable correlation between CO2 and measured temperature increase or decrease. Not to mention all the other greenhouse gas theory predictions have failed. And no, the rate of sea level rise has not increased either. Government scientists (assuming they are not activists) will find whatever results their managerial overlords will want them to find if they like their jobs or to continue getting grants, facts be damned. Activist scientists will lie to promote "the cause" and government scientists as bureaucrats will act in accordance with my 8 laws of bureaucracy. They're still bureaucrats after all and it's better to be a member of the managerial elite than a grubby prole. Rank doth have its privileges.

Finally:
Yes the Earth's climate changes. It has been changing since the Earth was formed over four billion years ago and there is no compelling evidence to suggest that human activity will have any more than a marginal effect, if any measurable effect at all, on the climate. The Green New Deal is based on lies and is simply an attempt to advance a political and social agenda that benefits the ruling class and the elite.

To the progressive emoters who would ask the skeptics why they do not believe in the science of anthropogenic climate change and denounce them as a science deniers:
Science is not something to "believe" in, it presents facts and data. Science is precise and accurate measurements of the world around us, "adjusted" data is only an estimate that carries a margin of error, it's not real measurement data. No data, no science. The gold standard of science is repeatable experiment and empirically verified theoretical predictions, not a paper published in a peer reviewed periodical or an unverified computer model. Scientific theories are never "settled science" but are always open to challenge and can be subject to falsification. Otherwise, to be called upon to "believe in settled science" or be labeled as a "science denier" is not accepting a scientific fact but to join a religion and denounce non-believers as heretics.

The consequences of cutting high ranking bureaucrats out of chain of command or information loop.

The managerial state has its rules and penalties for violating them. One of the most important is that the bureaucratic chain of command is inviolate no matter how slow and inefficient it is even to the point where it causes failure. Circumventing the chain of command especially if it brings success makes this managerial crime far worse because it reveals the inherent flaws of the system and shows how unnecessary many of the ranking apparatchiks in it are. This must never be permitted and miscreants must be harshly punished otherwise the plebs will catch on to what an overgrown, inefficient and unnecessary failure the managerial state really is. People in power usually will not give it up of their own volition and the greater their power, the more they will fight tooth and nail to keep it. Therefore any threat to that power must be ruthlessly dispatched at once.

Michael Ledeen makes the case that General Flynn's circumvention of bureaucrats in the Pentagon and Intel community to get intelligence out to soldiers in the fields of Iraq and Afghanistan as quickly as possible where it would do the most good. In our managerial bureaucracy, success is not an option and Flynn's marginalization of his ranking lieges (and making them look bad in the process) was an unforgivable crime requiring the Mueller probe to wreak vengeance.

I agree with Ledeen that Flynn was a marked man even before the Trump Presidential campaign and when Flynn joined Trump's campaign, the ruling class would see it as a veritable nest of vipers. But in the light of the Steele dossiers prominence in obtaining the FISA warrants, it would be more likely the ruling class saw it as an opportunity to kill two birds with one stone that gives cover for the real reason Flynn was targeted. There are many reasons for the ruling class establishment to attack Trump and certainly the Flynn affair is one of them, perhaps a significant one, but arguably not the primary reason. Still in all, a good article and well worth the read.

If Democrats and SJWs say "That's not who we are", they never actually say who we are. So who are we?

Every time someone questions, criticizes or opposes the latest official Democrat cause du jour or social justice warrior activist talking point, the response is always "that's not who we are".
By what right do any of these people define who we are? Well, nobody gave them the right, they simply took it.

So who are we then?
That is never really articulated because it is either used by managerial state politicians to deflect away from their true objective and silence the interlocutor or it is the emotionalist nihilism of rank and file activists. 'That's not who we are' is the go to NPC response for SJW's  because they can't articulate a logical reason for their position nor do they have any real idea of who they or we are. In their own demented way, the SJW activists are actually being honest.

That's not who we are!
Is fundamentally to control the narrative and stifle opposition. The ruling class or their factotums will either not tell you who we (by that our betters mean we plebs) are or our betters will change the definition at their whim. Hence, this weaponized obscurantism is designed to hide the ruling class' true agenda while promoting some official lie, euphemistically called a narrative, and silencing heretical opposition by threatening to outgroup them. To the infidels who question the official narrative of the managerial state: That's not who we are so if you do not kowtow to our policy this instant, you are not one of us. Into the void with you, wicked miscreant!

 However, in the process, our identity as individuals or as people of a nation is disintegrated through this ever shifting, phantom goal post set by the changing narratives of who we are (or are not).

So it can be said this "that's not who we are" slogan also serves a more globalist agenda. It is intended to destroy any identity we have as one of the means of creating a gray, generic humanoid creature to suit the purposes of  the various international ruling classes and their transnational corporate vassals. Gray generic humanoids, each indistinguishable from the other and that may be moved about or interchanged like parts in a machine as needed by our betters. For as far as our betters are concerned, we non-ruling class or not-elite are nobodies anyway. A nobody is nothing and nothing has no definable qualities. Therefore, as far as our betters are concerned, we can never be who we are.

The Ruling Class Managerial Revolution: Overthrowing the U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights

The Evolution of the Ruling Class Managerial State:
James Burnham in his book, The Managerial Revolution published in 1941, had as a central thesis that as the size of government increased, the bureaucracy would develop its own managerial class identity and work to promote its own class interests. Being that Burnham was formerly a marxist and friend of Trotsky, he used marxist class analysis to formulate this concept. However, even if other predictions made in the book did not come to pass, this managerial class theory proved prescient.

Burnham's later book, The Machiavellians, published in 1943, further argued that an elite class (including the managerial class) would form and further coalesce power with only the trappings of democracy remaining. One thing Burnham failed to notice or disregarded was the importance of the New Deal. This would not only form the basis of today's managerial state but as Garret Garrett points out in The Revolution Was it was in fact the start of the managerial state's overthrowing of the constitution and principles on which the U.S. was originally founded.

Burnham's work was later expanded on by Samuel Francis to include the concept of anarcho-tyranny and explored the concept of managerial capitalism. What Francis did not foresee was that managerial capitalism and the managerial state, rather than conflict, would form a mutually beneficial cooperative relationship similar to that of feudal lords and their vassals. This relationship is how the present defenestration of the constitution takes place.

The Problem of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights:
The present managers and planners of our government policy find the constitution to be too restrictive for them to implement their organizational blueprint for a top down centrally planned and managed society. They believe this system is best and tend to conflate what is best for them as a class, is best for the country. The plebs will be taken care of through the noblesse oblige of a vast welfare state, low level civil service jobs or what jobs are still allowed them through managerial capitalism. The outlines of this blueprint was first sketched in the early 20th century and fleshed out in the 1930's in the wake of the great depression. Under FDR the "brain trust" and their think-tanks fellows concluded that a government modeled on the Soviet system, adjusted and better scientifically planned and managed was the wave of the future. However, parts of the New Deal were found by the U.S. Supreme Court to be unconstitutional and were struck down while other policies of the Roosevelt administration that were arguably unconstitutional were unchallenged and remained in place. But that is a story for another day.

The constitution and the bill of rights was an impediment to the planners that had to be removed or worked around in such a way as not to be challenged in the courts or to arouse public opposition. But if it were done by banks and corporations, whose actions are not constrained by the U.S. constitution, not even the government's fingerprints would be found. Then through these private entities closing bank accounts, refusing credit or loans, and the deplatforming on social media of dissidents on the right, at the government's behest, then the constitution's bill of rights could be de facto overthrown and the plebs would be none the wiser.
It would be the perfect crime.

When one considers the bailouts of the American auto manufacturers and the banks, one must realize that this government largess was not given without certain strings attached. As well the same goes for the Silicon Valley tech giants who have received government contracts. Also there is the wall of costly regulations and fees that are in place which favor and protect big businesses with the necessary capital and army of lawyers and consultants to help navigate byzantine local, state and federal laws and regulations.

One may wonder why popular conservative and dissident right content creators be deplatformed, forced out of bank accounts or banks would refuse loans or credit to businesses like firearm dealers when these content creators and businesses make money for all these entities. What business person in their right mind would kick money out of bed?

It must be noted that the government, as a model of power, always has the upper hand over private industry, which is a productive model that only has influence or persuasion. But where too big to fail bailouts, lucrative state and federal contracts and regulatory walls are the carrot, there is always the stick of unevenly applied anti-trust legislation and governmental investigations (legislative and law enforcement) that can be brought to bear. To fuel any legal investigations, there is much information to be found in the NSA databases and failing that, petty process crimes will do. Even the big players on Wall Street who pay the political establishment very well are not immune from prosecution.
Power always rules over wealth and influence. And power never lets wealth and influence forget this.

Nevertheless, the carrot is generously given and the stick used sparingly in return for banks and corporations playing the puppet villains by doing the dirty work of suppressing political dissidents on the right. Beguiling the angry plebs and diverting them from seeing the sly hand of the managerial puppeteers is the price to pay for influence. Contrary to all commonly held beliefs, as vassals unswervingly loyal to their lords' agenda, it is a match made in heaven. And the result is our post-constitutional soft tyranny managerial oligarchy of today.
